About Humaira Mushtaq

Humaira Mushtaq is a pioneering professional racing driver from Jammu and Kashmir, recognized as the first and only female racer from her region to achieve podium titles in motorsports. At just four years old, she discovered her passion for cars, thanks to her father, and began racing go-karts. By six, she had advanced to Rotax karting, eventually moving on to single-seater formula racing and touring cars. Notably, she became the first Indian woman to represent India at the British Endurance Racing Championship, competing against male drivers from various nationalities and earning points for her performance. Despite facing significant challenges and backlash from her conservative Muslim upbringing, where women driving was frowned upon, Humaira defied stereotypes and forged her own path in a male-dominated sport, now driving GT, F3, and F2 cars.
